Oh Christmas Tree

I managed to have 4 days off from work over Thanksgiving so we thought we get in as much fun as we could. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we joined my mom, Brian and family and Kacey and family in their search for that perfect Christmas tree. They had all gotten the permits several weeks earlier and this seemed like the perfect time.

Here we are arriving at one of the many spots that the searched. It had been snowing so the ground was covered and it was cold.

My mom led the search.

My mom found a swing some one had made and had to have a little fun, racing the kids to it.

She did allow the kids to take turns on it

Ruby was so good but got a little hungry and needed to be fed.

The kids really enjoyed playing in the snow but by the time all the trees were found they were cold and ready to go back to grandmas

Here Cheyenne is displaying one of the many different trees in the forest. Sad to say no one took this beauty home

My mom found the perfect tree and so began the task of cutting it down.

Everyone took turns cutting at it and alas it finally fell.

So with a heave and ho dogsled style Brian and Kacey managed to get it up the hill.

Kacey found the strength of 2 Grinches times 10... wait that was a different story.

We really had a lot of fun despite the cold.
